We are pleased to announce The Legacy Sixes League, powered by LGC Athletics! Legacy Sixes will be hosted at Glory Star Sports Complex, a turf facility in Erie Colorado. . Modeled after World Lacrosse Sixes rules, and the future Olympic format, sixes is designed to promote speed, transition, creativity, positionless lacrosse, and free play. 

Sundays, February 12 -  March 5

• Legacy Sixes will be open to all boys teams in 4th-8th grade, and will be a great way to prepare for the spring season. 
• We will also open registration for free agents, and group all free agent players by spring club and experience level. 
• It is our goal to help players and teams to maximize preseason reps, develop chemistry, and prepare players for their spring seasons. 
• The plan will be to have a 'Legacy' (advanced) division and a 'Stars' (intermediate) division at each age group. We may group teams by multiple grad years based on competition (example: having a 27-28 Legacy division to maximize competition). 
• Girls league will be free agent only. Players will still be grouped by team and experience level.

Boys 4th-8th grade - We will cap the league at 6 teams per age group. 

Girls 4th-8th Grade- Girls will play in a pickup format based on numbers- either sixes or 4v4.

Cost per team: $1200

Boys Free agent cost: $150 (5 Total games for $30 a game!)

*Free agents will be grouped by spring team/club or experience level.

Individual Registration  $150 boys, $125 girls 

Coaches: Only 1 coach on the sideline per team- coaches are not required and we will have high school/college players who can manage substitutions for any team that needs it. We highly recommend no additional coaching outside of substitutions so players can take ownership of their decisions, play through and learn from mistakes without criticism, and most of all- let the players play and have fun! Studies in sports psychology and sports performance dictate MASSIVE development through limited coaching and an emphasis on free play. 

Legacy Sixes League Rules

• All teams will play 5 total games (4 weeks, one double header)
• Teams will have 10 minutes to warm up prior to their game 
• 1, 48 minute game per team, per weekend (excluding double header weekend). 
• 30 second shot clock
• Games played in 2, 20 minute halves- adjusted from sixes rules to maximize game time!
• 5 minute halftime, 1 minute break in between games
• Goalies initiate play after goals are scored; draws/face-offs occur only at the start of each quarter
• Field is 150ft. by 100ft
• Emphasizes tempo, with fewer stoppages in play
• Everyone plays both sides of the field (defense/offense); substitutions made on the fly
• Rosters comprised of max 14 players per team (10-12 ideal), leading to more playing time and more touches on the ball
• On the women's side, defensive players are not penalized for entering the shooting lane of an offensive player; offensive players are penalized for taking a shot without regard for other players
